The Gift Is Waiting For You
And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And they cast lots to divide his garments. Luke 23:34, ESV
You are forgiven—whether you believe it or not, whether you receive it or not, and whether you walk in it or not. When Jesus asked the Father to forgive us, it happened immediately. When I heard those words in a message, I was blown away because I had never thought of God’s gift in that way.
What came to mind was how, in the past, I’ve purchased a gift for someone but was never able to give it to them. Eventually, I gave the gift to someone else. But Jesus is not like that. His gift remains, waiting for each of us to receive it. He is consistently working on every individual’s heart, gently urging them to accept His gift.
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, the gift of forgiveness is still waiting for you. That gift grants you eternal life. Hallelujah!
